NPPD advises customers on winter weather

Despite the bizarre warm-up last week, the Nebraska Public Power District wants residents to be prepared for winter storm season.

Winter storms can cause unexpected power outages, and dangerous weather conditions can prevent power from being restored. Media Relations Specialist with the NPPD, Grant Otten, shares what people should know to be ready for the winter season.

For times when your power does got out, the NPPD also recommends notifying your power company immediately and to avoid running items like a generator or grill indoors.
